The Longji rice terraces and the Red Yao tribe

China is full of incredible mountain landscapes, from some of the highest mountains of the word to the Dragon Ball style mountains in Yangshuo, from the cold mountains of the north to the tropical hills of the south. Close to Guilin, where the cruises depart towards the impossible landscapes of the karst mountains in Yangshuo, there is also one of those dreamed landscapes for any traveler that wants to visit Asia. Bali? Sri Lanka? Thailand? No, China!

NamibRand Nature Reserve and the orange sand

The day started at 5am in the Shark Island in Lüderitz. We spent the night there, protected by some huge rocks. The night before we set a fire to cook some meat while hidding from the south Atlantic winds. The night was cold in southernmost town of Namibia. But we had to get up early because a 4×4 trip through orange dunes was waiting us 3,5 hours away through some of the most beautiful desert roads of the world.
