Cabrera Sanctuary: A rest on the top

We are back with one of those post that aims to show you something different to do from Barcelona. Cabrera Sanctuary is a place where no tourists go. Only locals wanting to hike or spend a day in the nature. The sanctuary is located in the county of Osona at the top of a rocky hill. As you can expect, the views from the top are astonishing and the climb is completely worth it. It can be done with children and it is a fantastic spot to have a picnic. If you ever travel to Catalonia and want to be far from the crowds, this is really an option for you.

Next destination: China!

After last summer unique and adventure travel to Namibia, sleeping in a camping tent on the roof of our car, cooking with a gas stove and driving long distances through gravel roads, we thought it would be a good idea to travel this year to somewhere closer, in Europe, and sleeping in hotels with breakfast included… but at the end our inside reality won. We are not tourists, we are travelers!

Happy Birthday Mapping The Map!

One year ago we decided to start a common project: to create a travel blog that focuses on the experiences that everybody can have in different parts of the world. We didn’t want to create the typical tips blog that explains you how to do and how to plan everything to repeat the travel that others did.

We understand travelling as an exploration, a way of being kids in somewhere new. For this reason, although we also give some tips this is not the base of our blog. We try to focus on experiences and describe them, we try to be as original as possible and write not only about the most common destinations but also undiscovered places. An example of this is our travel to Namibia last summer.
